The number of reservations is limited to two (2) days a month:
·
a block of time of the day,
·
different times in one day,
·
one class in the day.
This gives everyone a chance to use the room. However, after
September 20, one month after the start of school, if you're in class (the
day of the class) and a vacancy exists the next class
meeting day, you may reserve it. You may continue to do it until someone
reserves it.
“Walk-up” notices are welcomed:
“May I bring my class down now?”
If available, “Yes.” But, I need
to know first of your request.
(“Next class day” or “Walk-up” doesn’t count as one of the two for the
month.)
Classes meeting after 5 PM:
Instructors can reserve the classroom more than two (2) days, but some
flexibility is wanted in case another instructor needs the room for a class or
two. If reservations increase in the
evenings, the regular scheduling procedure can be followed.
(Instructors need to know that the room is exclusively
theirs when they reserve it.)
(On the average, with 8 M/Ws or T/Rs in a month, 2 days is ¼
of the M/W or T/R month, which is a significant portion of the month.)
