Combinations

Example:  Evaluate using the combination rule.

In this example, there are 6 objects (n=6). From these 6 objects, 4 objects are selected (r=4). The combination formula counts the number of different ways that these 4 objects can be selected from the total of 6 objects. The formula nCr is used n=6 and r=4. So the formula is 6C4.

Press 6, MATH, highlight PRB and select 3;        nCr and ENTER.

Now press 4, and ENTER. The answer, 15, appears on the screen.
