Computing Permutations
In this example, there are 7 objects (n=7). From these 7 objects are selected (r=5). The permutation formula counts the number of different ways that these 5 objects can be selected and arranged from the total of 7 objects. The formula nPr is used with n=7 and r=5. So, the formula is 7P5.
Press, MATH, highlight PRB and select 2:nPr and ENTER.
Now press, and ENTER. The answer, 2520, appears on the screen.
